Microsoft has chosen LensaMalaysia, a photographic community portal based in Kuala Lumpur, as its partner for the Project Shutter community in the Asia Pacific region.

LensaMalaysia joins the other partners in the project such as ClubSNAP of Singapore, PixPROs of Thailand, Kamera-Digital.com, Fotographer.net and Forum Kamera of Indonesia, and POCO and Fengniao.com of China.

Project Shutter is a program under Windows Live Spaces where shutterbugs get to connect with each other, read up on the latest digital photography trends, learn a trick or two from guest photographers, participate in users’ polls and have a chance to have their works published on the site.

Part of the program is the ‘Live in My City’ photo contest where photographers can submit entries in three categories – Food, Culture and Architecture. The Gold winner will receive an HP Pavilion Notebook PC dv2513TX and HP Photosmart 8750 Professional Photo Printer.
