Kodak Launches Mobile Link for Cellphone Cameras

Pictavision Art

Kodak has partnered with wireless digital imaging software provider Exclaim to offer customers Kodak Mobile Link, which allows users to upload photos and videos from their mobile phones directly to their online EasyShare Gallery albums for a subscription of $3.99 per month.

The service will use Exclaim’s Pictavision platform. Sprint and Verizon are the major carriers to provide support for the service and Kodak says more providers will offer it by the end of the first half of this year.

The new application makes Kodak the first photo company to tap into the cellphone camera market with a specialized mobile software platform.

A flash demo of the application may be viewed here.
