Kodak will display its new 24x ultra zoom Z980 Digital Camera featuring a 26mm wide angle, professional quality, 24X image stabilized Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon optical zoom lens and a vertical shutter release with detachable vertical grip at the 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas (January 8-11, booth 31400, South Hall).

The Kodak Z980 will be available in the spring of 2009 to be priced at about $400, MSRP.

Also to be demoed at CES 2009 is a pocket-sized high-definition digital video camera, the Kodak Zx1, a compact and weather-resistant device that enables “go-anywhere” High Definition recording, according to Kodak. It shoots 720p HD video at 60 or 30 fps and features a 2.0-inch LCD screen and built-in software for easy editing and sharing of content to YouTube and other social media and networking websites.

The KODAK Zx1 Pocket Video Camera will be available from Spring 2009, and will retail for $150, MSRP.

Aside from the Z980 and the Zx1, Kodak also introduced today the M380 digital camera, a 10-megapixel shooter with 5X optical zoom and 2.7-inch LCD. The M380 will be available in black, red and teal, and will retail at US$179 MSRP from March, 2009.
