Kodak's 3 New Cameras to Display HDTV Photos

Kodak has announced 3 new cameras that aim to take advantage of the high definition technology of today’s television sets.

EasyShare V1233, V1253 and Z812 IS cameras can capture HD still images with wide 16:9 aspect ratio and video at 720p and 30fpx for instant display on HDTV.

Both the $250 V1233 (with 2.5” LCD) and the $300 V1253 (with 3.1” LCD) are equipped with 12MP image sensors, a 3x zoom lens, face detection and Kodak’s Perfect Touch technology to deliver what the company claims to be “exceptional image quality” for every shot.

The Z812 IS has 8 megapixels, 12x zoom, face detection and image stabilization. It retails for $300.

Also today, Kodak unveiled its $100 EasyShare HDTV Dock to connect HD-enabled Kodaks and other devices to a high-def TV, and a $200 digital picture frame, the SV1011.
