Kingston today unleashed two new RAMs for the computer, the 1800MHz HyperX 14400 series DDR3 and and the low-latency 1625MHz HyperX 13000 series DDR3 memory modules.
Both series are available now and are shipping in 1GB and 2GB capacities. The 1GB 1800MHz (CL8-8-8-24-1T @ 1.9V) DDR3 HyperX DIMM has a suggested retail price of $227 while the 2GB version should sell at about $453.
The 1GB 1625MHz Low-Latency (CL7-7-7-20-1T @ 1.9V) DDR3 HyperX DIMM has a price tag of $214 while its 2GB brother costs $448.
The low-latency versions typically deliver better performance according to Kingston. Even when its module speed is lower, it doesn’t drive up thermal conditions that would require extra cooling in a high frequency system.
