JOBO AG Unveils New GIGA Vu Extreme

JOBO GIGA Vu Extreme Storage and Display Device

Germany’s JOBO AG has rolled out the new GIGA Vu Extreme digital image storage and viewing device for pro photographers, featuring a 3.7” VGA resolution LCD screen and support for more than 100 RAW formats.

The company says the GIGA Vu Extreme’s brilliant LCD offers VGA resolution display for crisp and clear viewing of stored digital images and a verify function for safe and reliable transfer of images.

This is also the first JOBO image storage device designed for compatibility with JOBO’s new photoGPS unit. Data from a digital camera’s memory card can be stored together with the data of the photoGPS on the hard disc of the JOBO GIGA Vu extreme. This file-based matching of data simplifies the process of combining pictures and GPS data on the PC at home.

The GIGA Vu Extreme has a built-in card slot for CF I and II cards and MicroDrive, and supports SD and SDHC memory cards via an adapter.

It’s available in 3 different storage capacities – 80GB ($599), 120GB ($749) and 160GB ($899).
