Galbraith Shows How to Install Firmware v7.33 Beta for PW MultiMAX

PocketWizard MultiMAX Radio Remote

In his post today, photographer Rob Galbraith reports on the Firmware Version 7.33 beta for the PocketWizard MultiMAX radio remote that adds an RF interference meter and a range-extending repeater function.

Rob says that once PocketWizard Utility is installed and you’ve confirmed the batteries in your PocketWizard are fresh, you can launch the software, connect the MultiMAX to your computer via USB, then hold down the display light button while turning on the unit to RECEIVE. The MultiMAX will enter USB mode (the display will be blank and the red light will blink). At that point, PocketWizard Utility should automatically recognize the connected MultiMAX and begin the process.

One caveat: firmware in beta might still contain bugs which could foul you up at the most inconvenient time. If you see a bug, please report it ASAP to LPA Design. If no bugs are found, the beta release simply proceeds to become the final version.
