Fujifilm FinePix F40fd Lowers Price to $250

Fujifilm has lowered the price of its FinePix F40fd point-and-shoot camera to $250 from its previous street price of about $300.

The F40fd is an 8.3-megapixel compact which touts face detection technology to automatically set the correct focus and exposure automatically, regardless of where subjects are located within the frame when taking photos of people.

It also features Fujifilm’s “Picture Stabilization” mode. Not only does Picture Stabilization reduce blur from the photographer’s hand-shake, it also adjusts for subject movement, and compensates for low light shooting, making it a comprehensive solution to prevent blurry photos.

The F40fd is an update to the F10-F20-F30-F31fd line of successful Fujifilm FinePix compacts.
