FotoAlbum Pro 6 Offers Geo-Coding with Google Maps

The new FotoAlbum Pro 6 photo management software by FotoTime offers geotagging, improved metadata and organizing tools. It also boasts faster execution with large photo collections and multiple users.

FotoAlbum integrates Google mapping into the tagging of photos. FotoTime said that unlike other photo applications that simply allow for the entry of GPS coordinates, FotoAlbum allows users to navigate online maps to both enter and view photo locations. Mapping also includes a location editor that allows users to search for and save common locations for their photos so that new photos can be quickly mapped.

In addition to GeoTagging, FotoAlbum 6 adds support for the XMP metadata format which insures that tags entered in FotoAlbum are compatible with the widest range of applications, while still supporting EXIF and IPTC for legacy applications, according to the company.

FotoAlbum 6 is available now for $40.
