Ricoh’s firmware update, Version 1.25, for their GX200 compact camera aims to fix an issue where the orientation information may be incorrectly recorded on images taken using the camera’s long-time exposure function.
The other problem it fixes is the camera’s playback zoom, which could sometimes lead to the position display window appearing incorrectly. This problem appears when using the playback zoom with Auto Rotate enabled, and switching between a variety of portrait and landscape-mode images using the “ADJ” rocker.
The latest Ricoh GX200 firmware, which also incorporates all previous fixes in Version 1.20, is downloadable from the company’s website.
