Extensis Logo

Extensis is celebrating 15 years as a local, Oregon-based software developer. To commemorate this milestone, Extensis is holding an anniversary celebration for employees including activities centered on supporting community service. All the funds raised by Extensis employees during the anniversary celebration will be matched by Extensis and donated to The Oregon Food Bank.

Originally a developer of desktop applications for creative users, Extensis has grown into the largest developer of server-based font and asset management solutions for creative and publishing environments.

Best known for their font management product line — Universal Type Server and Suitcase Fusion — Extensis also serves this core audience with their long-standing Digital Asset Management application, Portfolio Server.

Extensis was founded in 1993 in Portland, Oregon, by serial entrepreneur Craig Barnes with a goal to the develop software products that enhance the creativity and workflow of creative professionals. Celartem Technology Inc., a Japan-based company, purchased Extensis in September 2002.
