Epson V30 Claims to be Family, Ecology Friendly

Epson Perfection V30 Flatbed Scanner

Epson has added the new Perfection V30 scanner to its line of affordable yet high-quality flatbed scanners. The V30 retails for just $80 but Epson says it offers a resolution of 4800 x 9600 dpi with 48-bit color scanning and 3.2 dynamic range, and the same CCD sensor technology used in higher-end Epson scanners.

The company targets the V30 at families, scrapbookers and cost-conscious consumers who want an all purpose high-quality tool for scanning photos, documents and 3D objects.

Like Epson’s higher-end scanners, the Epson V30 has no warm-up time and offers fast scan speeds and lower power consumption, according to the company. Its ReadyScan LED technology enables the Epson V30 to use less power, with no mercury, which is inherent in traditional cold cathode fluorescent lamps.
