Eletrophysics Announces Night Vision Module for Canon Full Frame DSLRs

Astroscope by Electrophysics

A company called Electrophysics has introduced a new high performance night vision module for use with Canon full-frame digital SLR cameras such as the EOS-1Ds Mark III and EOS 5D Mark II Cameras. Equipped with the new AstroScope 9350EOS-FF, Electrophysics says these digital cameras can deliver bright high resolution green images of night-time scenes having a full image format and edge-to-edge sharpness.

The AstroScope night vision module fits between the camera body and the SLR lens, maintaining all the lens electrical connections so that important lens features such as optical image stabilization remain fully functional even in night vision mode.

At the heart of the new AstroScope 9350EOS-FF Night Vision Module is a central intensification unit (CIU) that transforms dark, moonlight or starlit nights into bright, high-resolution scenes. Similar modules are available for Nikon AF-type cameras and several camcorder models.
