Cellular Abroad Offers National Geographic Talk Abroad Travel Phone

National Geographic Talk Abroad Travel Phone

Cellular Abroad is offering an alternative solution to the expensive, impractical and often times complicated mobile phone services while traveling in many countries. And it’s got the National Geographic logo on it.

They call it the National Geographic Talk Abroad Travel Phone. There’s no contract to sign because it’s prepaid and users can get free incoming calls in most countries, perfect for frequent travelers like tourists, businessmen, photojournalists on assignments, as well as National Geographic’s own photographers and explorers.

A sample package for $199 – which includes one GSM phone – gives you 30 minutes of free outgoing talk time. You can get a SIM card for $59 which also includes 30 minutes of free outgoing talk time. You can add minutes as you go; in the most frequently traveled countries, the flat rate for outgoing calls is approximately $0.90 per minute. The service will be available starting March 2007.
