Casio Inc. Changes to Casio America

The U.S. subsidiary of Japan’s Casio Computer Co., Ltd. now wants to be called Casio America.

Effective August 1, 2007 Casio, Inc. will officially switch to the new name to reflect the company’s sales responsibility in both the United States and Canada and will allow for more effective communication with retail executives and the company’s customer base, according to a company announcement.

Casio, Inc. is based in Dover, N.J. and is the U.S. subsidiary of Casio Computer Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Japan, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of consumer electronics and business equipment solutions, established in 1957. Casio, Inc. markets calculators, keyboards, digital cameras, mobile presentation devices, disc title and label printers, watches, cash registers and other consumer electronic products.
