Casio Exilim EX-S770 Firmware Update

Exilim EX-S770

Do you own a Casio EX-S770? Because that fashion camera needs a new trip to the seamstress for a fix.

Casio has released a firmware update for the EX-S770 which debuted in August. Firmware version 1.01 fixes what Casio says is a minor bug- a thin black line that occasionally appears at the bottom of photos shot in some of the camera’s “Best Shot” scene modes (that’s pretty annoying!).

Casio cautions though that Russian and Ukraine users should not upload this version (what will Malinowski and Mikoyan do?).

And beware, if you don’t want that digicam suddenly become an expensive paperweight: “If firmware update installation is interrupted due to low battery power, your camera will no longer be able to operate,” Casio wryly notes on its download page.

The EX-S770 was announced on the first week of August this year sporting a superbright 2.8-inch wide aspect (16:9) LCD sceen, geared towards fashion-conscious consumers. It has 7.2 megapixels and features an anti-shake mechanism that prevents blurred photos due to hand movement during shoots.
