Canon USA is helping to focus awareness of issues related to locating missing children by working together with the New York Yankees and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The company has handed a check for $765,928 to the NCMEC to underscore its commitment to the cause.

The money, donated and raised by Canon USA, was presented to the NCMEC during pre-game ceremonies at the fourth annual promotional night at the Yankee Stadium as the Yankees take on the Seattle Mariners.

Canon is also working to educate parents with tips on how to take and maintain updated photos of their children through the Canon4Kids program. The updated photos are important to law enforcement agencies to help locate missing kids.

In cooperation with Canon4Kids, the New York Yankees sponsor the “Tag-A-Kid Program” at Yankee Stadium. Through this initiative, wristbands are offered at customer service booth locations throughout the Stadium to assist security personnel in identifying seating locations of lost children and reuniting them with their parents.
