Canon Launches CanoScan 9000F Photo Scanner

CanoScan 9000F Photo Scanner

Canon has announced the new CanoScan 9000F, boasting 9600 x 9600 dpi CCD sensor and the ability to scan a range of film formats. It can digitize 12 x 35mm filmstrip, 4 x 35mm mounted slides and 120 format (max. 6 x 22cm).

Canon said the 9000F’s new film adaptor allows more light to penetrate the unit, enabling even faster speeds with one frame of 35mm negative film scanned in approximately 18 seconds (at 1,200dpi resolution).

The bundled software package includes Adobe Photoshop Elements, ArcSoft PhotoStudio and LaserSoft’s SilverFast SE. The CanoScan 9000F will be available from June 2010 priced at £230 / €240.00 / $250.
