Canon 400D In The Works?

It looks like Canon China inadvertently spilled the beans on a brand new camera that Canon could be positioning against Sony’s Alpha 100 and the Nikon D80.

The Engadget website mentioned today that Canon China displayed photos and specifications of the 400D that suggest that the new DSLR is a full-frame camera with 10.1 megapixels, 2.5-inch LCD, 9-point AF system, ISO 1600 setting, DIGIC II processor, ultrasonic dust removal and the Canon EF lens mount.

Canon US however is still silent on this, and the Canon China website which mentioned the 400D appears to have disappeared. Stay tuned.
