Photo Mechanic v.4.5.2 is now out, adding a number of enhancements to the previous version and support for a number of newer high-end digital SLRs, among others.
Photo Mechanic is a browser software program for professional photographers to sort, edit, and catalogue digital images. It presents photos in a way similar to that of a contact sheet.
The upgrade fixes a number of problems with the program, specifically two crashing issues seen on the Mac platform when users closed Preview or the contact sheet window. The new version also adds a template so users can upload their images onto the Digital Railroad photo service.
The new DSLRs supported by Photo Mechanic include Canon EOS-1D Mark III, Fujifilm S5 Pro, Nikon D40X, Leica M8, D-LUX 2 and D-LUX 3, Olympus E-410, E-510, E-1, E-300 and E-330 and Panasonic DMC-LX1 and DMC-LX2.
