BBC Worldwide Launches Love Earth Photo Competition

BBC Worldwide Launches Love Earth Photo Competition

It’s Earth Day today, April 22, 2008, and LoveEarth.com, the natural history website of BBC Worldwide, has teamed up with travel guidebook publisher Lonely Planet to launch a competition to inspire photographers to take photos of the natural wonders of the earth.

The contest is open to photographers in the US and the UK and will run until May 31, 2008. LoveEarth.com will select 20 images to be published on the site each week. Each week one winner will be drawn at random from the chosen 20 images. These images will sit on the Love Earth site alongside some of the most stunning natural beauty snapshots already captured on camera by professionals from around the globe.

First prize is a digital camera worth £299, and the weekly winners will receive a Planet Earth box set (RRP £20) and £50 worth of Lonely Planet travel guides.
