BabelPix Translates Embedded Photo Keywords

Bedouin Ventures, LLC has introduced their BabelPix software which would enable photographers and stock photography agencies to sell photos to buyers who do not speak their language.

This is done by translating the keywords embedded in a digital photo’s metadata. Stock photography sellers usually embed their digital photos with keywords to describe a particular photograph, and these keywords are searched by buyers looking for certain pictures.

Bedouin Ventures said that their initial release would translate keywords from English to Spanish and vice-versa. Modules for other languages will follow in the coming months.
