Aquatica Nikon D40x Underwater Housing

Canada’s Aquatica has introduced a new underwater housing for the Nikon D40x, capable of diving to a depth of 200 feet (60m).

The new Aquatica D40x housing is made of anodized aluminum and features all of the controls favored by professional underwater photographers. It measures 6” x 6.9” x 5” or 154 x 176 x 127mm.

The company says the D40x housing is designed to be simple to assemble for the traveling diver and allows easy access to camera controls.

Built around Aquatica’s bayonet port system, the new housing will accommodate all current ports, extensions and gears. Aquatica has also reintroduced its 6” dome port and has created a newer and more compact macro port for both this new housing and its current line of housings.

The Aquatica D40x housing has a $1649 price tag and will be available next month.
