Posing Techniques for Location Portrait Photography by Jeff Smith

Amherst Media today released a new book, Jeff Smith‘s Posing Techniques for Location Portrait Photography, offering to teach a new skill set about posing outside of the studio.

In this book, Smith teaches the basics of great head-to toe posing. He shows classical approaches used to create a pleasing rendition of the human form, as well as how and when improvising or simply breaking the rules of traditional posing will yield a portrait that will please both the client and photographer.

In the book, Smith also shows how to tactfully address problem areas, use environmental elements as a base for the pose, and much more. The book offers tips for posing individuals and groups efficiently and artfully.
