plawa? Who the bell is plawa? Well, plawa is a German company, started way back in 1969, involved in the photography industry as a specialist in slide frames and film rolls, got into digital photography in 2000 and now distributes AgfaPhoto digital cameras. And they, too, are at PMA 2007.
Among the latest to come out of the Agfa Photo brand is its DC-630i model, a modest digital camera that integrates face-tracking technology, which means it can detect up to three faces in a scene and accordingly sets optimum focus and exposure.
Inside its black plastic body is a 6-megapixel CCD sensor, not bad for an entry-level camera that can also shoot VGA movies. The Agfa DC-630i offers a 2.5-inch display, 3x zoom and SDHC compatibility.
If its pretty standard features don’t turn you on, its $169 price tag should interest you. By the way, they have other models.
