Adobe to Ship Photoshop Elements 7 in October

Adobe Photoshop Elements 7

Adobe Systems, Inc. today launched Photoshop Elements Version 7, updating their photo management and image editing software for consumers not quite ready, or willing to pay a steep price, for Photoshop CS3.

If you have Photoshop Elements 6, you’re okay; that version is quite capable already. But if you’re still considering to buy Elements, the new Version 7 offers a new Scene Cleaner which lets you simply brush away unwanted subjects in your photo.

It also has a Smart Brush which can help users apply effects to a specific area of a picture with just one stroke. And there’s a new selection of Online Albums based on Adobe Flash technology. Other than those, you’ll do well with Version 6.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 will be available in October 2008 for $100; bundled with Premiere Elements 7, which lets you create videos, it will be $150.
