New Versions of the Adobe DNG Converter and Camera Raw are now available for download. Version 4.6 adds complete support for 15 more cameras from Canon, Fuji, Kodak, Leaf, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax, Sigma and Sony.
The Adobe DNG Converter is a free utility that converts files from more than 200 cameras to DNG (digital negative) and enables the user to convert camera-specific raw files to a more universal DNG raw file. DNG allows photographers to archive their raw camera files in a single format for easy cataloguing and access.
The Camera Raw 4.6 plug-in is not compatible with versions of Photoshop earlier than Photoshop CS3 or versions of Photoshop Elements earlier than Photoshop Elements 5.0 for Windows and Photoshop Elements 4.01 for Mac.
