Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Adventure 2008 Goes to Tasmania

A group of photographers are descending on picturesque Tasmania to road test the beta version of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2.0, the latest digital imaging workflow software for managing, adjusting, and presenting large volumes of digital photographs.

Group captain Mikkel Aaland is expected to come up with another book after this Tasmanian adventure, just like he did the last time when he wrote the first Lightroom Adventure book after a trip with a team of photographers to Iceland.

In this Tasmania group, star photographers from across North America, Germany, Great Britain, and Australia – including O’Reilly authors Aaland, Katrin Eismann, and Peter Krogh – will train their digital cameras on beautiful Tasmanian island vistas bathed in soft autumn light to test drive the Lightroom 2.0 beta. Popular tech journalist Leo Laporte (remember Call for Help, TechTV?) will also be there; he has joined the photographers in Tasmania to report on their progress and experiences.

The photography team will be blogging daily about their experiences, posting their images, and discussing what worked and what didn’t on digitalmedia.oreilly.com/adventure.

Track their adventure and maybe win a trip for two Tasmania; there’s a sweepstakes type of lottery there for you to join.
