LaCie introduces the new LaCie LaCinema Premier, a USB 2.0, multimedia hard drive that lets you play movies, photo slideshows and music directly on the TV screen.
Connect the device to a PC or Mac to transfer digital files, and when done, simply plug the LaCinema Premier directly into a television for instant playback. You can load up tons of photos in this device, maybe even your DVD movies and downloaded music videos to enjoy them on your big-screen TV set.
LaCie says the LaCinema Premier is also capable of 1080i video upscaling for hi-def viewing on your HDTV. The 500GB model is now available for about $230, with 750GB and 1 Terabyte models to follow.
