4th Imaging Expo/Interphoto Shanghai July 3-6, 2008

The 4th Imaging Expo/Interphoto Shanghai will be held at Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Centre, from July 3-6, 2008. With 15,000 sqm of exhibition space and participation of 150 exhibitors from both the international and domestic markets, it is expected to draw 50,000 visitors. The Expo promises to offer the complete imaging experience featuring the latest photography equipment and technology and a series of concurrent forums and events.

One key highlight of Imaging Expo/Interphoto Shanghai is the return of the International Business Forum. Organised by Photo-Imaging News, this global imaging summit will be held on July 4th. The forum will cover key topics on technology and trends in the photography and imaging industry.

Another highlight of Imaging Expo/Interphoto Shanghai is the documentary photography exhibition “Strength in Adversity” by Wu Xuehua, a senior journalist and a Senior Colonel Police Officer at the Armed Police Shanghai Principal Fire Brigade, who is acknowledged by the media as the first man to be airdropped into the quake zone to participate in the rescue efforts. The photo exhibition features photographs taken during the earthquake relief efforts in Wenchuan, China after the May 12th catastrophe based on 3 main themes, namely “Wenchuan in Emergency”, “Rescue from Thousand Miles Away” and “The Fight Continues”. The featured 240 news photographs on Wenchuan earthquake relief efforts will be kept in the permanent collections of Shanghai Municipal Archive.

Imaging Expo/Interphoto Shanghai will feature exhibitors from Germany, USA, England, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Korea, India, China, Taiwan Province and Chinese Hong Kong SAR, etc. The exhibition will showcase the different sectors of the imaging workflow such as image input and equipment & accessories, image processing, image storage, and image output & service.
