Zink PoGo Camera Tries to Revive Polaroid Fame

Polaroid (the name’s still alive) has launched the PoGo Instant Digital Camera, an all-in-one digital camera and photo printer. Take a picture, and in under a minute it comes out as a full-color minuscule business card size 2×3-inch print.

While the print is not the same size as the Polaroid you and I knew (picture was 3×3 1/8”, and the whole frame itself was 3 ½ x4 ¼ inches; there was also a 4×5 Polaroid print), Zink – the company that animates the Polaroid name – says this is the digital version of the traditional instant camera.

Nah, it’s not the same. The PoGo will have to carve out a niche for itself, not replace good old Polaroid.
