Why Photographs Work by George Barr

Why Photographs Work by George Barr

Rocky Nook has released Why Photographs Work by George Barr, subtitled 52 Great Images: Who Made Them, What Makes Them Special and Why.

In the book, Barr analyzes these 52 images with an explanation describing the making of each image, including not only the how, but also the why. Also included is a brief technical description of the equipment used in making each image.

With guidance from Barr, we learn to decipher that certain intangible “something” that makes an image go beyond the ordinary. That understanding and appreciation for the elements that make an image truly great should help us improve our own images as well.
