Watch a Pentax Binocular Demo, Win a Cruise for Two

Pentax Sail Away Promo

Pentax has launched its Sail Away program to promote select models of the company’s binoculars. You don’t have to buy a Pentax binocular to join the program; just watch a Pentax binocular demonstration at a participating retailer or view a binocular product video online.

Then you get to join the PENTAX Sail Away Sweepstakes for a chance to win a Cruise West cruise for two, from Costa Rica through the Panama Canal, or win PENTAX products. The promo is limited to U.S. residents only, one entry per person.

Hosted by Cruise West, winners will board the 100-guest Pacific Explorer and experience remote jungles, pristine beaches, native villages and abundant wildlife teeming with over 850 bird species. Cruise destinations include Manuel Antonio National Park, the San Blas Islands, Caletas Beach, and Golfo Dulce.

Some of the more noteworthy birds in the region include Bright-Billed Toucans, the Quetzal, the Scarlet Macaw and a variety of hummingbirds including the Green-Crowned Brilliant, the Purple-Throated Mountain Gem, and the beautiful Fiery-Throated Hummingbird. Winners will enjoy guided tours of birding locales and seminars provided by Audubon-certified experts including famed Audubon photographer Roy Toft.

One Grand Prize 10-day cruise will be awarded (cruise dates are November 1 to November 10, 2008). Second prize includes a PENTAX K20D digital SLR system including a battery grip, an AF360FGZ flash, and 18-55mm and 50-300mm lenses in a sling bag. Third prize is a waterproof PENTAX Optio W30 compact digital camera with silicone skin. Winners will be announced in June 2008.

Qualifying binocular models are the PENTAX DCF ED Series (8×32, 8×43, 10×43, 10×50), the PENTAX DCF HRc Series (8×42, 10×42), and the PENTAX UCF WP Series (8×25, 10×25).
