Use a Film Canister as Pop-Up Flash Diffuser

Film Canister as Pop-Up Flash Diffuser

Photojojo has posted a tip to make your own flash diffuser from an old film canister. The idea came from Flickr user natuurplaat who thought of using an empty translucent film container on his Nikon D80.

The idea is to cap your pop-up flash with the canister, so you have to slice out a part of the plastic to accommodate the flash. Hence, you’ll slice it one way for a Canon and another for a Nikon camera.

Free, easy to do and readily available. That’s the stuff of genius, ideas that make you go, “Why didn’t I think of that before?”

Thanks for sharing, guys!
