Toshiba Discloses Subpoena Over NAND Price-Fixing

Is Toshiba in hot water? The electronics firm received a subpoena recently from the U.S. Department of Justice regarding its Flash memory business.

This comes in the heels of grand jury subpoenas received by Toshiba’s U.S. partner SanDisk indicating a government inquiry into alleged price-fixing of NAND Flash memory products.

Last Saturday, Toshiba Japan said its U.S. semiconductor sales unit, Toshiba America Electronic Components had received the USDJ subpoena.

It appears that Toshiba and SanDisk are just part of a wider probe into the reported price-fixing. 23 other companies were also sued for the same alleged infraction.
