This Digital Picture Frame is Ready for Windows Vista

MemoryFrame MF8104

The MemoryFrame MF8104 Premium digital picture frame by Digital Spectrum is quite pricey at $380, but hey, you’re paying for its premium features.

Consider these: it’s IP addressable (meaning it can connect and be addressable on the internet), runs Windows CE 5.0, plays MP3/WMA audio or WMV/MPEG-4 video, brings integrated stereo speakers and 3.5-mm audio jack, packs 64MB internal storage, Bluetooth, 802.11b/g WiFi with WEP/WPA, and can grab media from CF/SD/XD/MMC/MS memory cards, attached USB devices like your digicam or MP3 player, or streamed over the air from your PC or other UPnP capable device.

You could be forgiven for thinking it’s a portable media player. It’s a full-fledged media player alright, but it’s not portable because it’s meant to sit on your desk or hang on your wall.

The MF8104 digital picture frame has a very visible 10.4-inch 800×600 resolution TFT LCD screen and will ship with a remote control for navigating the embedded HTTP web server and RSS feeds from your favorite photo sharing sites like Flikr.

And yes, it’s ready for Windows Vista, the newest operating system from Microsoft. Once up and running, Vista will automatically detect the picture frame and load your photos from the Vista Pictures folder.

You wish it were priced lower so you could buy your friends and relatives this magnificent frame for Christmas. Lucky for you, it doesn’t ship till mid-January.
