ThinkCamera.com took a look at the new Nikon D700 full frame DSLR and gave it an overall rating of 10 out of 10. Well, not a perfect 10 really, as its price tends to pull it down a bit, but a 10 nonetheless.
Reviewer Mike Lowe says there’s so much to like in the D700, but mentions three in his summary: high ISO performance and image quality; fast shooting — from start-up to continuous shooting 5fps and autofocus; and its 51-point AF system with focus tracking.
Mike writes, “There’s no point in beating around the bush – the Nikon D700 goes straight for the jugular; it’s a beast of a camera. There are very few downsides, except perhaps for that hefty £2000 body only price tag. Sounds expensive, but in perspective it’s among the most affordable pro-grade DSLR; not only that, but it’s up there with the best of them.â€
