The Plugin Site Launches Postcard Contest 2009

In an age of text messaging, email and electronic chat rooms, The Plugin Site wants to remind us that the good old postcard still exists. So, they’re launching the Postcard Contest 2009.

It has two categories: Best Purchased Postcard and Best Created Postcard. The first contest category asks people to buy a postcard at their place and write a witty or humorous message on its back. The message can be written in any language. An interesting stamp on the back and other applied decorations may receive extra points.

For the second category people should create a postcard of their own. They can use photos they took of their city/neighborhood or any other interesting photographic or artistic subject. As in the first category not only the picture of the postcard is judged, but also the message and additional decorations.

Twenty prizes consisting of 57 software products and 5 books worth more than a total of $3500 are offered to the winners. The 7 best postcards of each contest category receive a prize. Contest runs until August 31, 2009.
