Photoshop User TV Episode 118

In Episode 118 of Photoshop User TV, Matt Kloskowski discusses the Extract tool in Photoshop which makes a good cut-out of the selected image in photos where the background is fairly distinct from the image being extracted.

(But that’s easy, Matt, you can easily make out the image from its background. Please show us something harder next time, maybe an image with flying hair in a background that almost matches the color of the hair in a few places. Just a request, to maybe show us how to do it in Photoshop without going to a third party plug-in).

Scott Kelby interviews Epson’s Dano Steinhardt on how to print B&W photos on exhibition fiber paper, he used Premium Luster Photo Paper here, and printed it on the EPSON Stylus Pro 3800 photo printer. Amazing how professionals fiddle with so many details before hitting the final Print command.

Dave Cross shows us how to make metallic effects on text that you can change later by converting the text first to a Smart Object before applying the effects.
