The Longest Zoom from Tamron

Tamron 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 Di-II LD Lens

At the Photokina show next week Tamron is introducing the longest zoom lens for a DSLR in the market today. The 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 Di-II LD lens has a 35mm equivalent area of coverage of 28-388mm. The 13.9X zoom lens is made for cameras with APS-C sized sensors, and its metal mount is designed for improved stability.

This newest Tamron zoom lens feature low dispersion glass and anomalous dispersion lens elements to reduce chromatic aberration. Two hybrid aspherical lenses are said to help keep the lens compact, and the optical design is optimized for digital photography.
