The FlapCam, Any Other Design Ideas?

FlapCam Design by Matthias Lange

Matthias Lange, a 24-year old designer based in London, shows us his concept of a FlapCam, so called because of its folding design.

When folded up, the lens, diplay and buttons are protected against dirt and scratches. Depending on how much the camera is flipped open the user can either make photos of himself or take photos from above (e.g. at live concerts), Matthias says.

He says the FLAPcam can use an innovative visual language that encourages the user to interact with the camera in a playful way.

He sticks the Samsung logo on his prototype, but I think it’s Casio who will readily buy this type of design.
