The Acadalus Self-Leveling Camera Head, More Expensive Than Your DSLR

Acadalus Self-Leveling Camera Head

The Acadalus self-leveling camera head does exactly that, it automatically levels your camera in just a few seconds because it has a digital inclinometer to measure the angle; stepper motors are then activated to get the head perfectly level. Photographers can also make manual adjustments with a keypad on the side of the head.

The Acadalus CPS-H1 is the brainchild of Dr. Carl Koch, a former managing director of Sinar AG. The camera now has autofocus, why not auto-level? was his guide question when he ventured to create the device.

The Acadalus CPS-H1 will be selling for $5,000 each (ouch!), affordable for architectural, panoramic, or studio photographers who make tons of money.
