Spidey and Sony Team Up for the Memory

Sony Promotional Box for Spider-Man Edition of Memory Stick Pro Duo

Or should we say, Spider-Man Gets Marching Orders to Sell Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo Cards. Hoping to boost sales of its proprietary memory stick, Sony has enlisted the services of Spider-Man to sell special packages of their flash media. The Spider-Man packages comes with two DVD movies inside – Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 – and the Memory Stick Pro Duo in them range in capacities from 2GB to 8GB.

The movies are in separate DVDs so you can use the memory stick right out of the box when you buy it for use in your Sony digital camera, PlayStation3, PSP or Sony Ericsson mobile phone.

Sony also has a special edition of its Micro Vault Midi 2GB which includes a detachable Spider-Man 3 necklace within the promotional packaging. The Micro Vault comes preloaded with the English and French language version of the Spider-Man 3 movie trailer and 4 High Definition wallpapers, plus the Virtual Expander data compression software, which allows to the user to store up to 3 times more data on their Micro Vault USB key.

Spider-Man movies are produced by Columbia Pictures owned for a while now by Sony.
