Sony Joins SD Crowd, Offers SD/SDHC Memory Cards

Sony is now offering SD and microSD cards, including high capacity versions of the format, SDHC and microSDHC. The new Sony SC cards will be offered in Class 4 specifications.

Class 4 data transfer speed means stable HD video recording and more than enough speed to cope with the advanced functions of compact digital cameras and high-end camera phones, Sony says.

Sony SD/SDHC and microSD/SDHC cards also offer the File Rescue software and x-Pict Story, both available as free downloads. File Rescue enables quick retrieval of photos, video, or music that were damaged or deleted by mistake, while x-Pict Story allows users to combine their choice of music with their pictures to create slideshows.
