Sony has introduced its new Cyber-shot T500, a 10-megapixel compact in a stylish body that can also shoot high-definition movies, real 720p movies at 30fps in the MPEG4 AVC/H.264 format.
Sony says the T500 can shoot continuously for up to 10 minutes per movie clip. You can connect the camera via HDMI to your Sony HDTV and the BRAVIA Sync interface allows on-screen control of Cyber-shot playback functions using the TV’s remote control.
The Sony T500 features a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with 5x optical zoom and optical image stabiliser and a large 3.5-inch touchscreen LCD. Available in October for about $400.
