Smartparts Inc. today announced two digital picture frames capable of storing up to 2,000 photos in their 128MB internal memory. The picture frames, with 10.4†and 8.4†viewable screens, do the trick by creating copies of original pictures and resizing them to suit the size and resolution of the screens. The frames come with Smartparts’ OptiPix software to sharpen and optimize images.
The software makes it easy to find pictures in the user’s computer and optimize them for viewing on the frames. OptiPix also makes it easy to load photos onto the device for display, eliminating many cumbersome steps in the process.
The Smartparts digital picture frames also allow users to directly insert a memory card from a camera to the frame and view photos instantly without the need for a computer. They support SecureDigital (SD), Memory Stick (MS), MultiMediaCard (MMC), CompactFlash (CF) and xD Picture Cards.
The new DPFs are available in classic yet contemporary wood frames. The 8.4†frame (SPDPF84M) is available now for $180 while the 10.4†frame (SP104WM) will be in stores this spring for $200.
