SLR Photography is Back!

Digital SLR Nikon

Single-lens reflex photography is definitely back, with an even greater number of hobbyists this time around. This is because of the ever-increasing affordability of today’s digital SLR cameras.

More and more people are getting their hands on DSLRs since the camera industry’s push to make sub-$1000 kits. DSLRs is one hot segment today in the camera market.

Steve Makris of the Edmonton Journal underscores this DSLR phenomenon in his online article. He notes that technical advances and falling prices are bringing better-than-film-quality digital cameras within reach of many.

Then he goes on to compare the popular DSLR models in the market today: Olympus E-410, Pentax K10D, Nikon D40x, Canon Rebel XTi and Sony Alpha-100.

A good read on a Sunday, especially if you want to know which kits lenses that come bundled with the camera are worth keeping.
