The Adobe Lightroom Book for Digital Photographers by Scott Kelby

Two months from when it was launched, imaging guru Scott Kelby’s “The Adobe Lightroom Book for Digital Photographers” has gone into third printing. Now, that’s success.

Readers are snapping up Scott’s books like hot cakes, and no wonder, he writes it in plain language like he wrote it for you and me, without dumbing it down. He delivers the technical aspects of Lightroom without sending you to Google or the dictionary. He keeps you focused on the lesson at hand.

Maybe the secret is also in his style of teaching. Reading his book gives you a sense of watching Scott do his own stuff as he shares his own personal settings in Lightroom, all his studio tested techniques. He knows what really works and what sucks and tells you that.

How he organized the book is also worth noting. He presents everything step-by-step so somebody new to Lightroom can just jump right in and start using the workflow software like a pro.

Also, at the end of the book are two bonus chapters where Scott answers the most asked question regarding Lightroom: “Exactly what order am I supposed to do things in, and where does Photoshop fit in?”
