Sandisk has debuted its first widescreen portable media player at CES 2007. The Sansa View features a 4-inch LCD screen that the company claims can display DVD-like video. It can also display slideshows of photos accompanied by music on its built-in speakers.
The Sansa View has 8GB of internal flash memory, more than enough for most users. But if that is still not enough, there’s a card slot for SD and SDHC memory cards for additional media.
It fits comfortably in the pocket at just 0.66-inch thin (dimension: 78.5 x 123 x 16.9mm), and the user-replaceable lithium polymer battery lasts four hours on video playback, 10 hours on audio. It looks like one fine product actually, if you ask me; $300, the price.
