SanDisk Releases 4GB Memory Stick Micro (M2) Card

SanDisk 4GB Memory Stick Micro (M2) Card

SanDisk has released the 4GB Memory Stick Micro (M2), expanding its M2 line of memory cards compatible with Sony Ericsson’s latest generation of slim line, multimedia mobile phones such as the Cyber-shot and Walkman series.

The SanDisk M2 card line is designed for mobile handsets that have an M2 slot. By using an optional Memory Stick PRO Duo adapter, M2 cards are fully backwards compatible with all digital cameras and hand-held game players that have a Memory Stick slot.

M2 measures 0.59″ long x 0.49″ wide x 0.05″ high, or 15mm x 12.5mm x 1.2mm, making it the second smallest flash memory media in the world, behind the microSD format, which SanDisk pioneered.

The 4GB M2 card will ship in May.
